I’ve run up 7 credits on audible and I need to use them or lose them ( it’s a bad deal I think but I’m stuck with it)
Looking for interesting books like Cormac McCarthy, Kurt Vonnegut, Julian Barnes, Tomas Pynchon, Ishiguro, Russel Hoban, Umberto Eco – I like scifi but only if it’s highbrow ( I know!). I think my sweet spot is interesting if a bit perverse plot meeting a bit of intellectual vigour.
Please help a bit of a book snob.

Maybe The Three Body Problem by Cixin Liu? I think it does really well to get you to reflect on some societal issues, through a very good plot line. Read last summer and highly enjoyed
Try Margaret Atwood’s “The Heart Goes Last”. It’s more dystopian than sci-fi and she belongs on your highbrow author list.
