T. Kingfisher is great and has serious range.
Pratchett – jasper Fforde, Spider Robinson, Christopher Moore
Gaiman – Robin McKinley, Naomi Novik, Charles de Lint
Adam’s – Martha Wells (Murderbot specifically), Jon Scalzi, Robert Asprin
Backman – Robin Sloan, Gail Honeyman…hmm I can think of individual books but not authors
Klune – Becky Chambers, Dianna Wynne Jones, Raimbow Rowell
So I’m going for cosy, whimsical, fantastical, humorous. For authors I’ll second Naomi Novik and Diana Wynne Jones. It gets mentioned constantly but I think Piranesi fits, and if you’re open to graphic novels I’d suggest Seconds by Brian Lee O’Malley
