Last Night at the Telegraph Club was the first book that I felt so immersed in since like elementary/middle school. I’ve read some books, and I’m no writer, but sometimes the romance books I’ve been reading can feel cringeworthy in terms of writing. With LNATTC, the world that the characters were in felt alive. The characters themselves felt real and most of them were fleshed out. For anyone who has read it, do you have any recommendations for a book or books you felt were just as captivating as LNATTC? I really liked reading Cathedral by Carver as well so if you have any readings after those stories, I would appreciate it.
I don’t really care for the plot being romance or lgbtq+, just with a similar writing style (?) with a limited POV. Thanks!
