Hi!
I use reading to cope and I was abused in a psych ward when I was younger. I was wondering if there are any YA ( doesn’t have to be YA necessarily ) books where the main character is in a psych ward and in their teens and they are being ”abused” or treated badly by the workers. The setting doesn’t have to be psych ward necessarily could be like foster care too but anything with this theme! Thanks in advance.

How about The Shock of the Fall? I don’t think the main character is necessary abused but they do spend much of the book is a Psych ward.
Not YA, but One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. It’s a pretty intense read, though, be warned.
Possibly Girl, Interrupted. There’s some abuse in there.

It’s adults of all ages in the psych ward in this book.

One Flew Over the Cuckoos’ Nest. Not YA but set in a psych ward with abusive Nurse Rached. Great book.
