This book left quite an impact on me. One of very few that I wish I could read again for the first time. One concept that really stuck with me was from the two narratives set in the future, more succinctly Zachry’s post apocalyptic world. In this world Zachry and the Valley Folk worship the goddess Sonmi who unbeknownst to them was an android slave who became self-aware in a world before the apocalypse.
This idea of a whole society building its belief system on something that they don’t understand or are so removed from it to appreciate the full story is a fascinating concept and I was wondering if there is anything else that touches on this theme. Thanks in advance. 🙂
