And then you try to see if they have any social media where you can follow them for more information. Like, you love one of their books so much, you decide that you want to know more about them and the novels they write.
The next thing you know, you’re scrolling through their social media to hopefully get an update on the next book they plan to write. I can’t be the only one who does this as a reader right?

not often but I’ll follow their socials if I like what they do. I also read a memoir by a man with schizophrenia when I was younger and I wrote him an email about it and he responded
The fact that the authors publish this info on social media indicates that lots of people do this!
I think the only authors I’ve followed are Stephen King and Penny Reid. I’m really spanning the genres.
