Hi, all! With the state of the world as it is, I'd like to get away from all the doom and gloom for a bit and see if there are any books about optimistic futures for humanity, how that might look like and how the transition might go.
- Non-fiction or fiction, either is fine! If it's fiction, though, I'd like to avoid books with too heavy romance.
- Overall optimistic, as noted in the title, but possible bumps and problems along the way are a-okay!
- The future society described need not be completely perfect, just better than the current state of things
Books like this that are already on my list but I haven't read yet are Looking Backward by Edward Bellamy, and the Culture series by Ian Banks (which is more sci-fi, but I like that too)
