Try Gabriel Garcia Marquez. 100 years of solitude reminds me of blood meridian quite a bit.

The Dog Stars by Peter Heller is a somewhat similar writing style but more understandable.

I read Between Two Fires by Christopher Beuhlman, right after Blood Meridian and I enjoyed both of them. It seemed similar in some themes; but different enough for both to stand on their own. It’s a Medieval historical, light fantasy horror with the Black Plague as a back drop for the setting.
