      Try Dark Matter
it’s a mystery thriller and really easy to read

    2. Not crime thrillers, and kind of mainstream I guess. But a couple of my recent reads: The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab; The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. Both were great reads in my opinion.

Project Hail Mary – Sci-fi, extremely popular and a favourite for many.

How to Stop Time, by Matt Haig. I don’t know a single person who didn’t like this. Hooked from the first page. I’m surprised more people don’t mention this book tbh.

Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman

The Bobiverse series by Dennis E Taylor

Dark Matter, Wayward Pines, and Upgrade by Blake Crouch

When I usually read a single genre continuously, I get bored. I call this ‘genre slump’ or ‘genre exhaustion’ (I’ve never really heard anyone else use the term lol) so my tbr is mixed with different genres. After reading too many thrillers/mysteries I find myself leaning towards fantasy or romantasy. So I’ll give suggestions for those.
**Defy the night by Brigid kemmerer**
**The shadows between us by Tricia levenseller**
**Six of Crows by Leigh bardugo**
**An enchantment of Ravens by Margaret rogerson**
(I tried to keep the recs that are good for those just getting into fantasy)

However if you’d prefer something other than fantasy, these are the books I’d recommend from other genres:

      **This time it’s real**
      **I am not Jessica chen**
Actually, anything by the author Ann Liang is amazing
**The midnight library by Matt Haig**
**Pride and prejudice by Jane Austen** (if you’re fine with classics, tho this was my first ever classic)
