Lights Out by Navessa Allen has been my favorite so far this year in the dark romance category, if you like that.

The God of the Woods by Liz Moore is a mystery / thriller that was also fantastic.

    2. A Drop of Corruption (sequel to A Tainted Cup) by Robert Bennett!

The Will of the Many by James Islington (technically came out 2023 but read it just a few days ago).

For romance, I’ve only read one of that genre, Good Material by Dolly Alderton. It was a NYT top 10 last year and is very good and an easy read.

My favorite book I read this year is North Woods by Daniel Mason. Partly because I went into pessimistic as I’m not a nature book fan, but that wasn’t this book at all. What a beautiful story written by a special author.
