Hi, I love reading books about reading books lol but now I want something even more meta. I was wondering if there is a book that talks about another book so that you can read both books at the same time.
For example: I’m currently reading the book club for troublesome women where they talk about the book the feminine mystique. It would be cool if we could follow along and read with them so we can compare our impressions to the different characters.
Also there’s been a few rewrites of classic books today like demon copperhead and James. It could be fun to read these side by side with the books they are based off of to compare and chat about them.
What books are fun to read side by side together?

They don’t go *too* far into discussing the books, but they at least mention a lot of titles and how they relate to the characters’ lives a bit in *Angry housewives eating bon bons* and it’s also just a lovely book about motherhood and female friendships
I haven’t read it yet, but *Reading Lolita in Tehran: A Memoir in Books* by Azar Nafisi sounds like what you’re looking for!
Troublesome Women also talks about a bunch of other books that are great (even if just in passing) – check those out too! For example, I read Gift from the Sea, which they mention, every summer. Love it so much!
I don’t have time to type up more right now, but google book mentioned in another book – it’s often a prompt for reading groups so there are lots of lists. 🙂
