So there's this one quote in the series Reindeer Baby that goes like this:

I wish humans had a chin zip. One that would open all the way to their bellies. I’d just unzip them and tuck myself away.

And this quote made me think about books where one person is so infatuated with another that they go beyond simply trying to persue them and start a relationship. They want to be so close to that person like no one ever has. Of course, stalking is the first theme that comes to mind here, but this is something I'm the least interested in except it has a unique twist in it. What I'm more interested in is downward spirals into madness, cannibalism (I mean you can't be closer to a person than that, right?) and all the stuff I can't even imagine.

Gore is okay for me, but it shouldn't be the main focus. I'm more eager to explore the mind of the obsessive person. The genre should lean more in the direction of horror or psychological thrillers, please no romance. And it doesn't have to be something modern. If the story was written many decades ago, that's great too.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated 🙂
