I want to get into poetry. I'm a biologist and currently dealing with the de-funding issues plaguing the US conservation fields. I want to read poetry celebrating nature and wildlife. Something uplifting to help me remember why I do this job, and why nature is so important to people. I don't care if it's a book of multiple authors or one author. Just something primarily uplifting and nature-oriented.
Thanks

obligatory famous romantics who wrote a lot of nature stuff: coleridge, longfellow, thoreau, keats, wordsworth. all public domain now but any collection of romanticism will have at least a couple of these guys thinking about birds and seasons and rivers
*where the river goes* (ed. allan burns) is a book of nature haiku
alexander posey was a muskogee creek poet who wrote beautiful nature poems. he doesn’t have a recent collection but you can pretty easily find them for free online or get a used copy of his anthology called *the poems of alexander lawrence posey*
