I just lost somebody very close to me. Here's what I want to read right now:
– nothing lighthearted like comedy or romance, but also nothing utterly tragic. Something with a quite sadness. It can be directly about grief or not, but nothing devastating.
– something gentle with beautiful descriptions of the natural world
– nothing harrowing, disturbing, gory etc, or anything too taxing in terms of complicated world-building/plot
Basically a quiet/gentle, possibly wistful/nostalgic story set somewhere peaceful and beautiful. It can be speculative fiction/fantasy or real world, but I prefer things more on the literary side. (This might be too specific but if it's set in the North of England or Scotland that's a bonus). Thank u very much
