Could someone suggest me a book about the geography of the middle east and/or how it effected travel or culture

Just the title, I mean like I found alot of book on the politics or history but not about the actual geography of the ME
The reason I want this is I am doing a writing project based on someone travelling from the southern coast towards the inner parts to Medina
