So I mostly read romance (fantasy romance, dark romance, sports… if it’s romance I read it). And I’m looking for book recs from different genres so I can read more diversely. I’m interested in anything except non fiction. So please, leave some recs below with a short description or why you enjoyed the book.

Generally speaking I like a book with aspects from romance, fantasy, adventure and so on and I usually find myself gravitating towards historical fiction novels.
If you want something quite unique but with a fair bit of dark romance I’d suggest Ken Follett’s the evening and the morning – set in dark age England and Normandy it’s a nice read
If you want something more fantasy than historical fiction:
Bernard Cornwell’s Stonehenge is one of my absolute favourites, it’s a bit older now I think coming out in the late 80s but the story building and world are absolutely amazing, set around the building of the Stonehenge through the perspective of a young builder plus there’s a lot more to go off of, don’t want to spoil anything but if you have questions feel free to ask.
Now this is one of my personal favourites, reading it atm.
Sparrow by James Hynes, set in imperial Rome in the cuty of Nova Carthage from the perspective of a slave boy who’s raised by prostitutes in a brothel. Quite a unique read but def worth the time imo.
Edit: on mobile pardon the bad spelling.
