My partner just doesn't read and he's missing out on so much! He's not really read a book in years and doesn't even really know what genres he likes. So, for a gift, I want to gather the easiest to get into, hopefully gripping, books for all of the main genres, and put them onto one of my old kindles for him to read and find out what he likes.
I'm mostly a true crime girly, slowly getting into romance (just finished ACOTAR and I'm hooked lol)
So if you guys could share recs for the genres below, that would be super amazing. I don't want to scare him off, and I don't want him to feel disheartened if he doesn't finish a book. So I think shorter books are better, could-not-put-down kinda books and not super complicated to read books? He can read haha but maybe avoiding certain authors that have a different way of writing would be good – if that makes sense?
I think the genres I'm looking at are:
- Romance
- Mystery
- Fantasy
- Sci-fi
- Thriller/Horror
- Biography/memoir
Also, if you have other genres, or ideas, please let me know. 🙂 He does read but its like… the news lol. Thank you! ❤

Marriage/couples counselor here. Is your partner interested in reading things other than the news? Just making sure you aren’t projecting things you enjoy/what you think he should enjoy onto him.
Murderbot Diaries. First few books in the series are super short, but move fast. And he doesn’t have to continue the series if he doesn’t want to.
