As the title states, I've been wanting to get back into reading for quite some time now. I have a Kindle Paperwhite and mostly have read self help type books (Atomic Habits) biographies in the past – musicians, chefs, that sort of thing. Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain was always a favourite.
Aside from that, I can't recall the last book I had read otherwise since high school. I'm closer to 40 at this point. I've always struggled with choice and felt overwhelmed with the amount of choices and conflicting reviews and end up moving on to something else instead.
I have a fairly stressful life at the moment and I'm hoping to find something to distract me from my day to day grind, and hopefully give me a way to escape for a while after a long day. I'm searching for a lighthearted, perhaps comedic, fiction book. Alot of Matt Haig titles were popping up as suggestions but I couldn't tell if these were more YA books or not. Conceptually, something along those lines seems like it would be interesting. I'm not really into any medieval or western-type settings or Harry Potter if that helps narrow things down at all.
I'm just a bit stuck and would even be happy with a few author suggestions and I can likely take it from there.
Cheers, and thank you in advance
