This will be tough. I am an ESL tutor and am trying to find something my student can read. He is a man in his mid thirties who speaks working-class English, but his literacy level is low, and his vocabulary is limited. I am also pretty sure he has an undiagnosed learning disability. He likes to watch musicals and rom-coms, like "Glee". He does not read anything, and he needs to practice reading.
Obviously, musicals don't work well in book form, but I was thinking a graphic novel about romance (nothing sexual) might encourage him to read.
Any suggestions?
