Hi!
I'm looking for a vacation read for my trip to Italy, I'm bringing The Talented Mr Ripley but think I'll need another one as well. I'm looking for psychological thrillers or mysteries set in Italy or the mediterranean, not crime or any Police related stories though, and not historical fiction. I've been having my eyes on Diavola by Jennifer Thorne even if it appears to be a bit more horror, that would work too. I'm looking for something sunny and maybe a bit glamorous but with an uncanny, unnerving feel. I'm very grateful for any suggestions! 🙂

This is recency bias, but “The Stolen Child” by Ann Hood starts out in USA, but then moves to Paris, then the last half or so takes place in southern Italy. Great audiobook narration.
would you be interested in something indie?
Siracusa by Delia Ephron. I was unsettled for days after
The Holiday by TM Logan is set in the south of France with various families sharing a villa on vacation.
The Fury by Alex michaelides. Mediterranean I think ?
