Maybe it's just me or my ADHD brain, but I was curious if anyone else spends WAY too much time over researching and analyzing from YouTube videos or online lists new books or genres to try. I jump so all over the place for fear of accidentally picking a book that I will not like and have wasted my time with. It's almost like an over the top worry of wasting my time. Just curious if anyone else does this and maybe how you stay focused on one book and see it through or even how you select a title and commit to it

I could easily see myself doing this (also an ADHD’er). In fact, I have before. I have quite an extensive wishlist of books, and I watch a decent amount of book content. But you gotta get down to business and try stuff. I set aside wind-down time every evening to have uninterrupted reading time. I just try stuff if it sounds remotely interesting. And if I borrow the book, it makes it easy to let go if it isn’t working for me. I move on. Sometimes I have a couple or more that I rotate through in case my brain gets bored and needs a break. I let my moods run things, to a point. At times this year my mind has been all over the place and I have tried to start as many as 10 books (through the Libby app), and would finally settle on what my mind would accept. It is a challenge, but that is what seems to work for me. I am reading a 900+ page chonker at the moment, the third book from an author I stumbled upon a few months ago. I had other books in mind, but I let the brain off leash to just go with it.
