What’s a book you’ve read (good or bad) that was unlike any other you’ve ever read before and haven’t read anything like it since? I’ll go first! Aannex by Blake Butler. I’ve read that entire book once and I have no idea what I read and I’ve never read anything close to it since.

For me, it was Bonjour Tristesse by Francoise Sagan. It’s about this young girl, Cécile, who’s kind of detached and manipulative, and the whole story has this haunting, carefree vibe, even though it’s about some pretty heavy stuff. I haven’t read anything that felt as strange and unsettling since.
