I’ve recently become interested in reading more historical books (both fiction and narrative non-fiction), particularly about royalty but not exclusively, and i have always been interested in the historical context of the lgbtq+ community as a queer woman myself. Does anyone have any recs for books that might fit this, that are either based on true stories or at least historically accurate? I’d especially love to read about queer women in royalty (anywhere in the world), but any suggestions would be welcome <3

Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, Lisa See. Then you’ll probably want to read everything else she’s written.
