A few weeks ago a finished all of Michael Connelly's books. The Prey series was recommended as something similar to the Bosch series (which I absolutely loved).
I'm on book 5, and my question is are all of the Prey series similar in the sense of you meet the bad guy right away, and the rest of the story is Davenport working to catch them?
What I enjoyed about Bosch was not knowing who the murderer(s) is(was) and going along on the journey, which allowed me to try and guess (and be thrown for loops along the way). Many times, the answer was a complete surprise to me, and I loved that about the series.
The Prey series has been entertaining enough, but if we're told up front in every book who the murderer is, I'm thinking about cutting bait and starting on a new recommendation.
