Books similar to the show The Four Seasons or Expectation by Anna Hope.

I am looking for a book which follows one person or a group of people through different time periods of their life.

Or even a book which is sort of a glimpse into peoples lives, nothing crazy necessarily needs to happen.

I generally prefer books centered around female characters but it’s not a dealbreaker
