I’m the mystery reader for my daughter’s fourth grade class today and would love some thoughts!
Classroom parameters: picture book, takes less than 20 minutes to read
Kid parameters: “cool,” “not stupid”
Top contenders are The Amazing Bone (William Steig) and The Sign on Rosie’s Door (Maurice Sendak), which both delight my adult heart; I’d love some other suggestions for my amazing kid who’ll happily read anything and is already finding out how mean kids can be about literally anything (including that uncool, stupid book their mom read to the class).
