    1. I’m currently alternating between reading Kurt Vonnegut’s novels and SJM’s *Throne of Glass* series. And I gotta say, the literary whiplash of going from Vonnegut to modern YA romantasy is… well honestly it’s actually kinda fun.

SJM is far from a perfect author, but despite my love affair with Vonnegut I’m actually finding the back and forth to be utterly fascinating. Vonnegut is not terribly great at writing female characters in any capacity (though I’ve heard decent things about *Bluebeard*, just haven’t gotten there yet) and SJM (who is bad at writing male characters) is obviously catered towards YA female readers. To go back and forth between the two is proving to somehow be a legitimately enjoyable experience lol.

Currently reading *Heir of Fire*, just finished reading *Deadeye Dick* and next up is *Galapagos*.

*A Psalm for the Wild-Built* by Becky Chambers. Like it so far, but it did just knock me out of the narrative by not knowing about nose-blindness. Or maybe the character has an ability they are trying to point out…headcanon achieved.

The Secret Commonwealth by Phillip Pullman . An amazing author, but it just isn’t as good as his previous works.

Framed: Astonishing True Stories of Wrongful Convictions by Jim McCloskey and John Grisham

This was supposed to be my “light-read” but the stories are so sad and disturbing.
