Yup, my books are usually unrelated to each other though (ie one comfy romance, one thriller, one “I’m trying to learn something”) so it makes it easy to keep them distinguished. I go through periods where I pick up 4 novels that are very similar and never finish any of them because that’s jsut… Who I am sometimes.

Sure. The trick is to read two books that are very different from each other. For example, a fantasy novel set in a fantasy world and a contemporary novel set in New York wouldn’t cause any confusion.

I try to read my fiction (murder mystery) with some non fiction(philosophy)… it’s fun, your mind boils after reading philosophy you can enjoy some murder mystery.

I read a physical book and listen to an audiobook (usually a memoir) at the same time.

Yeah I can read as many books as I want without mixing up the plots.
I used to think oh man I can’t start another book I’ll forget what I was reading in the other one.
But then I realized I watch somewhere around 20 different TVs shows at any given time and don’t get their plots mixed up at all. That kind of reset my brain and now I can shelve a book for months and pick up where I left off.
