The highlight for me was the author’s use of an old Scarborough, Ontario, hangout—a spot I frequented often growing up. That place no longer exists, and I don’t live in Scarborough anymore either, but reading about it stirred a deep wave of nostalgia. What made it even more poignant was the image on the back cover—it’s of that very spot, making the experience feel all the more personal. I’m not revealing the name of the place here—let’s see how many of you can pick up the book and recognize the location from the image on the back cover.
