i skip smut scenes, but maybe i’ve been reading the wrong books. what would you all recommend?

i don’t know if it’s just a me issue or just that young adult ‘smut’ actually is so cringy. i’m 28 so i’m definitely not a young adult, but i did get back into reading again this year. a few of the books i’ve read this year (acotar, empyrean series, courting of bristol keats) were a little smutty, but i always skipped over them. i’ve kinda always hated shows/movies with romance/sex scenes so i think that hatred added to my reading habits.

part of me thinks i’m not reading the right things or looking in the right places and i would like to try to get into it! i’m a big horror lover, so anything with a theme of horror smut would probably be something i enjoy
