Hi hiiii,
I'm looking for some absudrist books with that twin peaks David Lynch type of vibe. I'm more so into very literary type writing if that makes sense (English isn't my first language mb) like I mostly read classic lit. I also prefer older books but I'm open to anything.
I've already read multiple Camus and Kafkas and I'm looking for some more stuff.

Literally was just thinking of asking this question in the sub lmfao. People have said that I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman is an excellent example of the revolt against an absurd world and from my limited knowledge on absurdism, I would have to agree. The book itself is, in my opinion, absolutely amazing and I would recommend it in a heartbeat regardless of its underlying themes.
I’ve just begun to delve into Camus and have actually just finished The Stranger today. The juxtaposition between Meursault and the protagonist from IWHNKM and how they handle living in an absurd world has been so much fun to think about. Also just wanted to mention that I haven’t read David Lynch, so apologies if you do end up reading IWHNKM and it ends up not being what you were looking for!
The Gormenghast books by Mervyn Peake! I’m constantly recommending them.
