As we approach pride month, I’m looking for a highly entertaining or funny queer non-fiction book. Any format is fine, and any kind of queer, across the LGBTQIA spectrum. Bonus points for BIPOC authors.
I’ve got plenty of queer fictions lined up, but would also love a memoir or something informative!

We Are Never Meeting in Real Life by Samantha Irby, and the rest of her books. Comic essays/memoir by a bisexual Black woman.
All the ones I’ve read are sadgirl vibes 😭
Definitely not Elliot Page’s book, he’s been through some rough stuff
[Fabulosa!: The Story of Polari, Britain’s Secret Gay Language](https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/44179219) is entertaining!
You Better Not Cry by Augusten Burroughs.
Lots of his books are dark funny, one is just dark, but this one is really sweet. It answers questions like “What happens when you live an unattended child in front of a cooking show?” “what’s the worst thing that could happen if a child confused Jesus and Santa?” and “what do pervy French Santas do after last call?”
Ooo ooo David Sedaris! Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, and Me Talk Pretty One Day are my favorites. Audio is the absolute best choice for his books.
