I really enjoy watching videos that describe what Earth used to be like—how the climate, land, and species evolved.
I'm looking for a book that tells the story of Earth's early history that is not too scientific or filled with complex names like Xyzphiliaabctodus every other line. I'd rather read "a bear-like animal" or "a bird the size of a car", something visual and easy to imagine without having to Google every term.
I also don't want the book to focus too deeply on just one era. I want to explore many different periods, all told in a flowing, narrative style. Like: “Then this event happened… and that led to this change… and slowly, the world began to look different.”
Thanks in advance!
