Hello! I’m looking to start a writing project that is a variation of the crime genre and I’d really like to read some books in the same area to get some inspiration.
I’d love to get a better understanding of how to structure a book about crime told from the criminals perspective so I’m happy to give anything that tackles it a try.
But for a more narrowed down look,
I’m especially looking for books from the criminals perspective as opposed to a mystery novel, con/Heist books as opposed to murder, Historical settings (1920s-1990s specifically), and preferably with a less ultra gritty tone, I’m super into black comedies.
And as a personal preference less romance heavy books, I just get bored with romance so easily but I don’t mind if its a minor element.
This is also unrelated to crime books but I’d also like to read more books with unapologetically vain, selfish and dramatic Mcs!
Any books that contain one or more of those aspects would be perfect!
Thanks!!
