I was inspired by Dan Simmons’ “The Terror” to read a nonfiction book about the Franklin Expedition, “Erebus”, by Michael Palin.
I’m interested in other books on similar topics on unsolved mysteries, with perhaps a particular emphasis on shipwrecks or lost people – think the Donner Party (similarly fictionalized in Alma Katsu’s “The Hunger”) or the Dyatlov Pass mystery. I’m looking for more non-fiction than fiction, but would take either. Any recommendations? Thank you!
