Just finished Just Kids by Patti Smith and loved it. I want to know everything about the arts and culture that sprang up in and around the Chelsea Hotel throughout time up until they made it into boutique lofts or whatever uninspired thing it is now. I will take either sweeping histories of everything or personalized accounts like Smith's book. I'm interested in it all.
I will also take fiction if there's something really great out there, but would like any fiction to be grounded in real people and events, historical fiction style. Thanks!
