Both fiction and non-fiction are good. I’m looking for something which would scratch the itch of wanting to do a week-long hike, but something that’s grounded in the realities and complexities of the world.
The two books which made me feel this way are the “Floating Coast: An Environmental History of Bering Strait” by Bathsheba Demuth, and “Barbarian Days: A Surfing Life” by William Finnegan.
So maybe similar vibes, maybe something outside of the box entirely. Thank you guys!
