Starting my 15th book of the year and I need help deciding between the following:
The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo
East of Eden
Demon copperhead
Little fires everywhere
Carrie Soto is back
The night circus
The last book I read was Born a crime, and before that the women and I enjoyed both but maybe need a more light hearted palette cleanser from heavy subject matter.

I loved Seven Husbands. I read it over a weekend and couldn’t put it down. That’s where my vote would go!
Evelyn Hugo then Malibu Rising, and then Carrie Soto (they all take place in the same universe along with Daisy Jones and the Six)
Demon Copperhead is amazing but very heavy.
The Night Watchman by Louise Erdrich. Fascinating and beautifully told historical fiction taking place in the 1950s on the Turtle Mountain Reservation when “Indian termination policies” were all the rage in Congress. Pulitzer Prize winner, I promise you will not regret it.
Edit: I misread and thought the list was your recent reads! Sorry. You have lots of good options there, though. Evelyn Hugo and Demon Copperhead are both great, both kinda heavy in the end, though…
Little Fires Everywhere was wonderful!
