I love reading novels from diverse perspectives and marginalised voices, and I am trying to read a novel from every country in the world.
I want to focus on queer books for pride month, from overlooked perspectives to more foundational queer novels. Please give me some recommendations!
My favourite books tend to be literary fiction, moving and emotional, sometimes deep but usually not toooo abstract. Off the top of my head, books I love include Martyr!, The Safekeep, Swimming in the Dark, The Death of Vivek Oji, On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous.
Thanks in advance, and happy pride! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

A. K. Larkwood: The Unspoken Name
What if you knew how and when you will die?
Csorwe does―she will climb the mountain, enter the Shrine of the Unspoken, and gain the most honored title: sacrifice.
But on the day of her foretold death, a powerful mage offers her a new fate. Leave with him, and live. Turn away from her destiny and her god to become a thief, a spy, an assassin―the wizard’s loyal sword. Topple an empire, and help him reclaim his seat of power.
But Csorwe will soon learn―gods remember, and if you live long enough, all debts come due.
Light from Uncommon Stars is one of my favorites
I really liked *The Devourers* by Indrapramit Das, it’s about a college professor transcribing a story from 1600s India about shapeshifting werewolves. Though note that if you have any triggers, this book is probably going to hit them at some point.
