Just graduated college as a film major. I loved college and had a great time, and am now living at home trying to figure out what I want to do while many of my friends are off in cool cities working fancy jobs. Are there any fiction (or non fiction, but I prefer fiction) books that deal with post grad life in a similar way to what I’m experiencing? Just want to relate to that feeling of being away from friends and stuck at home/ trying to figure out your life or make it in the arts. Bonus points if it’s a female protagonist.

**the idiot** by elif batuman might hit. it’s smart, funny, and follows a girl kind of drifting after college. also try **writers & lovers** by lily king. it’s about being broke, lost, and still chasing the dream. very real, very good.
