There are couple threads on here for books set in New York, but I want a story set in modern day New York City. Sometime between 2000-now.
Preferably with characters on the younger side (30 or below), since currently that’s the age range I can relate to.
If I could go more specific, something set in the working/middle class world of NYC. Every day life kind of vibes, at least at times.

What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera is a charming, LGBTQ rom-com set in modern day New York featuring teens.
The City We Became by NK Jemison is an interesting fantasy novel set in modern day NYC, centered around the idea that Cities can come alive and have a magic all their own, through human avatars whose traits and life experiences represent boroughs of the city. Some of the characters are younger, but some are middle age.
