What I mean by this is I have a favourite Irish author John McGahern who does this really well, always villages and towns in Ireland. And i know the simple answer is…well…just read more of his stuff, but it’s hard to come by in libraries and such.
If you haven’t read him and I highly recommend you do it’s about small communities, their going’s on and such.
