So I want to write a book, and I’d like to know what you recommend I read first, so I have a solid foundation before I dive into the writing

First of all, sorry for my bad English, I'm not a native.

The book I'm going to write has a solid foundation in science fiction about time travel and megacorporations dominating a post-apocalyptic world.

But the heart of the book is really based on a story of impossible love and human conflicts between lovers and parents and children.

But don't get me wrong, I don't want to write a romance novel, I want to write science fiction. What books could help me better understand these topics?

I recently read 1984 and Brave New World and that gave me several ideas, also movies like Predestination or The Butterfly Effect.
