I grew up reading historical fiction that was integrated with my school curriculum, and it built a curiosity about history that has sustained me since then.
I'd like to give my kids a similar opportunity, but one that covers a lot more of the world, and a lot more of history. I started a giant google sheet with geographical regions and time periods, and I'm slowly adding to it.
I'm currently working my way through the Newbery lists, a few homeschool curricula that use this premise, and lots of random online listicles.
Would anyone like to join in and build this with me?
What I'm interested in: Historical fiction–the more well-researched and immersive, the better.
Age range: 7-13 yrs.
