Helllooo, I'm looking for some book recomendations. I really enjoyed The Bridge Kingdom by Danielle L Jensen. I thought that their was a PLOT, unlike some fantasy/romance books out there. The politics and the world building really immersed me into the story, and I loved how the characters, even the side characters, had personalities. I also LOVE Carissa Broadbent's Lost Hears trilogy, specifically that grumpy/sunshine trope, because I felt like she did it right in a way where their personalities were still distinct. So summary, I like: world and character building, politics/plot heavy, with romance (but not as the center, nor a side plot).
Books I haven't liked are the Heartless Hunter series, nor Daughter of Darkness by Allie Cole, or even Spark of the Everflame … I felt like the plots were all over the place, with lots of loopholes that didn't tie anything together, with the "romance" part sometimes overtaking the actual story itself. And none of the characters really spoke to me in the way they did in the other books I mentioned. Summary, I didn't like: characters with temperamental/undefine personalities, plot holes, no good side characters, super focused on romance.
Please give me recommendations! Someone told me to try One Dark Window, but I need more
