I really want to get back into reading but I cannot seem to find any book that really catches my eye or hooks in me in. I'll start reading and immediately be bored or want to pick something else. What are some good short books that hook you from the start?
Bonus points if it's on Kindle Unlimited!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid
I’m gonna suggest the first book of the Harry Potter series, the philosopher stone.
It’s quite a light and quick read and it has the bonus of hooking you in the long run with the seven books.
What are some books you’ve enjoyed reading in the past? I like books with short chapters when I’m in a reading slump – Taylor Jenkins Reid and Ashley Audrain come to mind
Dungeon Crawler Carl
Tender is the Flesh. Please look up what this is about first though. 🙂
Claire Keegan’s books are super short but so compelling.
**Torchlight Parade** by **Jeanpaul Ferro**
The Hike, By Drew Magary. I bet you’ll be hooked.
Around the world in 80 days
All Systems Red by Martha Wells was on KU the last time I checked.
And Then There Were None
All Systems Red by Martha Wells
We Are Legion We Are Bob by Dennis E Taylor
If you like science fiction, The Stainless Steel Rat by Harry Harrison.
A Short Stay in Hell
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. A hundred something pages, larger print than a typical book so I finished it in just over an hour I think. Written via an augmented communication device as the author is paraplegic
“To be taught if fortunate” by Becky Chambers
“The Freeze-Frame Revolution” by Peter Watts
The Fisherman John Langan
Anxious People Fredrik Backman
