It doesn't have to be plot-driven. I'm in the mood for books like On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous and The Death of Vivek Oji at the moment. And I want something similar but with a female/NB lead!
Chlorine by Jade Song. It’s coming of age body horror with a Chinese-American female lead and there is a Sapphic “it’s complicated” relationship.

How Far The Light Reaches might work for you! It’s a collection of essays by a queer nb Asian writer about queerness and the ocean. Black Water Sister is a fantasy novel by Zen Cho that’s less lyrical but really fun. Long Live the Tribe of Fatherless Girls is a beautiful memoir, and I’ Afraid of Men by Vivek Shraya is really good too.

Yellowface by RF Kuang. The sapphic element is kinda twisted but the book is awesome
