I'm looking for 1) haunted-house or ghost stories and 2) folk horror (but not a lot of graphic violence, if any).
I've recently read David Barnett's Withered Hill and Scuttler's Cove, and the English Heritage anthology Eight Ghosts. I'd love more in these veins, although I don't need the ghost stories to be anthologies.
Thanks.
Edit: Sorry, I should have said earlier that I've already read all the M.R. James stories and the most of the usual authors. You really cannot beat James in particular, so I'm looking for anyone else, maybe less well known authors with a similar style and caliber of writing. Thanks.

The British Museum has a whole series of creepy stories anthologies out right now. (I am reading Weird Woods and Penny Bloods right now)
I also enjoy the Ghost Stories for Christmas collections of British creepy stories.
I can recall if Sheridan LeFanu is British but his stories, especially Green Tea, might be right up your alley.
The Woman in Black
Ghost Stories of an Antiquary by M. R. James.
The Essex Serpent is about a mythical malignant creature in Essex, set in 19th century (i think )
Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier kinda fits what you are looking for, although more creepy in the psychological thriller sense of creepy with the presence of the MC’s husband’s late first wife still very much being felt in the MC’s new home.
Pine by Francine Toon
The Winter Spirits, and The Haunting Season are two great short story compilations I think you’d like. And anything by Bridget Collins.
