Thing is I pay for Spotify family premium and get 15 hours of audiobooks from that. I hardly even use that though. So ideally the books I get should be longer than 15 hours and possibly not freely available on Spotify (although not a big deal if it is!).

I can be a bit picky with audio books, since there are a lot of books I don't think fit well in that format.

Books/concepts I have liked in audio format:
Queer fiction/romance, without heavy sexual content like Price of Salt

Interesting memoirs with lots of unique storylines like Born a Crime

Wholesome sort of fiction/heartstring pulling stuff like Lessons in chemistry.
In the same genre I kind of just love any sort of media where someone is a mega genius/prodigy I find it very satisfying.

I also really liked the Ballad of Songbirds and snakes and already bought Sunrise on the Reaping to read later.
However I'm very picky with science fiction. I don't like to feel scared and I especially hate suspenseful/frightening scenes. I've been a fan of Suzanne Collins a while so I'm willing to read those.

Whatever the genre is, I much prefer when there's lots of interpersonal stuff going on rather than pure action/suspense. I want to switch to using Libby so I'm happy to take plenty of suggestions

I haven’t listened to the audio but read the book and it fits some of your criteria.
      I really enjoyed it.

Dune by Frank Herbert has a whole cast and some sound effects. I think it’s 20+ hours, it’s definitely long. The Lord of the Rings series is also great on audio, I think it’s easier to follow than reading in print.

    3. Demon Copperhead! I wasn’t a big fan of audiobooks before but now I am because I thought this one was SO good.
