hi! i'm in my 20s and just picked up reading this week. so far, i've read 5 YA books that i wanted to read when i was younger, but now i want books that people consider a "you MUST read this book at least once in your life" or a "this is my favorite book that i've recommended to everyone who asks" or even a book that made you have to sit in silence for a while after finishing.
preferably fiction & something light in terms of pages (<300) so i can read them immediately, but i would also love any book suggestions beyond 300 pages so i may read them later on! book series recos are also welcomed 🙂

it’s a sort of right person wrong time romance which spans over 20 years it’s heartbreaking but it’s a must read
The prisoner of heaven – Carlos Ruiz Zafon, it is part of the “cemetery of forgotten books” series but you can read any of them as standalone novels!
